FAQ

How far can the IR night vision actually reach?

The 2MP model does 50 meters with IR. The 4MP model uses dual light (IR plus white light) and reaches 30 meters. Those are real numbers, not theoretical.

Does it support ONVIF? Can I connect it to Hikvision or Dahua NVRs?

Yes. It supports ONVIF, ISAPI, GB28181, and we also offer SDK. Most mainstream NVRs on the market work fine with it.

Can you provide the explosion-proof certificate? Which agency issued it?

Yes, we have full certificates with marking Ex db IIC T6 Gb / Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db. We can send you a digital copy. The issuing body is listed on the certificate.

Can I connect both PoE and DC 12V at the same time?

Better not. Pick one—either PoE or DC 12V. PoE is easier for wiring. If you don't have a PoE switch, just use DC 12V.

How do I choose the lens? What's the difference between 2.8mm and 8mm?

2.8 mm gives you the widest view (horizontal 107.8°)—good for covering large areas. 8mm sees further but has a narrower angle (40.9°). For most chemical plants or refinery yards, 4mm or 6mm works well.
